The Sliderail Square Transfer (SST) material handling system uses
hydraulic components to advance loadbars filled with parts to be
coated along low-maintenance sliderails.
All finishing system components - cleaning, pretreatment, coating
application and curing - are contained in one compact unit and managed
by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)

Because parts index vertically into process stages on the SST,
immersion and spray treatment can be accomplished in tanks only
slightly larger than the maximum work envelope. This greatly reduces
tank charging costs for water, chemicals and paint for electrocoating
applications, as well as minimizing water and utilities consumption.
Flexibility is a strong point of SST technology, as each system
is built from the floor up to meet individual customer needs. Parts
as small as screws and as large as truck bodies can be processed
to strict specifications.
High volume electrocoating, autodeposition coating, powder coating,
liquid spray painting, cleaning, pretreatment and heat treating
operations can all be reliably handled by Therma-Tron-X SST systems.
